This set makes a nice addition to Church Libraries, and Home Libraries.
It is an excellent reader for both boys and girls, with color illustrations. Jeanie Hoover’s Good Ole’ Days is written on the elementary level of 3rd to 6th grade; adults will enjoy it, too. All experiences & testimonies shared are completely true. All stories are totally wholesome, and tell of Sis. Jeanie’s days growing up in a humble home.
My name is Susanna Puzon. I am the mother of five wonderful children. Recently a lady let us borrow Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 of “Jeanie’s Good ol’ Days!” We enjoyed the books so much! I would read them out loud to the children in the evenings. My husband listened in too, sometimes. There were stories I read that had us laughing so hard we cried and couldn’t breath, and there were stories that touched our hearts and I got choked up to read the words. Jeanie Hoover did an excellent job of writing the stories simple, so the children, even at a young age, understood. I would encourage anybody young or old to read them. It’s real life and we can all relate to that. We read through them once and not too long later the children were asking to hear them again. Some stories we’ve read through 3 times already. Now, we have purchased our own copies to treasure always.
